Frequently Asked Questions

Quick Start

From order to connection in three steps

1

Choose a node and complete checkout

Open the Configure & Order page, pick Singapore, Tokyo (Japan), Seoul (Korea), Hong Kong, or US East, set your rental term and upgrades, then pay with USDT-TRC20 or Stripe credit card (Visa / Mastercard / Amex).

2

Wait for auto-delivery (about 1–5 minutes)

After payment is confirmed, the system automatically initializes your device. When done, the order status becomes "Running" and you'll receive an email with SSH and VNC credentials.

3

Log in to the console and connect

Go to the console, find your order, click "VNC" to open the macOS desktop in your browser, or use the SSH command from Terminal to start building, developing, or running tasks.

How long after ordering can I start using it?
Fully automated delivery. Usually within 1–5 minutes after payment confirmation, you'll receive both an email notification and a console alert with login credentials. If it's not provisioned after 10 minutes, submit a ticket immediately — we'll prioritize it.
How do I remotely power on, shut down, or restart the device?
Log in to the console and open the order details page. The top action bar has Power On, Shut Down, and Restart buttons. Click to control power remotely — status updates in real time, usually within 30 seconds.
Where can I view the device hardware specs?
The "Device Info" section on the order details page shows full specs: Mac mini M4, 10-core CPU, 16 GB unified memory, 256 GB NVMe SSD (optional upgrade), 1 Gbps dedicated bandwidth, and your assigned public IPv4 address.

Connection & Access

Three ways to access your cloud Mac

How do I connect via browser VNC?
Log in to the console, find your order, and click "VNC". A browser-based remote desktop opens in the current page — no client install needed to see the full macOS desktop. On first connect, enter the VNC password shown in the "Access Credentials" section.
How do I connect via SSH command line?
Copy the full connection command from the "Access Credentials" section on the order details page. Format: ssh admin@<your-public-IP> -p <port> Paste and run in macOS/Linux Terminal or Windows PowerShell, enter the password, and you're in — ideal for scripting and CI/CD automation.
Can I use a third-party remote desktop client?
Yes. You have full macOS admin access. Install and configure RealVNC, Remotix, Apple Remote Desktop, or any other tool. You can also enable macOS native Screen Sharing for a smoother experience.
VNC is laggy or won't load — how do I troubleshoot?
First, confirm your local network can reach the internet. Try refreshing the console page to reconnect. If it still fails, run Restart on the order details page and wait 2–3 minutes before retrying. If the issue persists, submit a ticket with your browser and OS version so our team can investigate.

Config & Specs

Mac mini M4 Hardware Specs & Global Nodes

Standard Configuration Overview
ProcessorApple M4 · 10-core CPU (4 performance + 6 efficiency)
Unified Memory16 GB LPDDR5 unified memory
Storage256 GB NVMe SSD, optional upgrade to +1 TB / +2 TB
Network1 Gbps dedicated bandwidth · dedicated public IPv4
AI Compute38 TOPS (Apple Neural Engine)
Data CentersSingapore · Tokyo (Japan) · Seoul (Korea) · Hong Kong · US East
Is the device a dedicated physical machine or a VM?
Dedicated physical machine — no virtualization, no overselling. Each user gets a real Apple Silicon M4 device in the data center with exclusive CPU, memory, and storage. 100% performance with no resource contention or virtualization overhead.
Are bandwidth and public IP dedicated resources?
Yes. Each device gets a dedicated public IPv4 address and exclusive 1 Gbps up/down bandwidth — not shared with other users. For multi-machine clusters, add the Thunderbolt 5 cluster service for 80 Gbps high-speed interconnect.
What is the "Thunderbolt 5 Cluster Service"?
An optional advanced interconnect service using Thunderbolt 5's 80 Gbps bandwidth to physically network multiple Mac minis — ideal for iOS build farms, render clusters, or distributed AI inference. Select it as an add-on at checkout.
How do the five nodes differ, and which should I choose?
All five nodes have identical hardware and pricing — only the geographic location differs. Singapore suits Southeast Asia business; Tokyo and Seoul offer stable low latency for East Asia; Hong Kong is friendlier for mainland China access; US East covers North America and Europe. Choose the nearest node for lower latency.
Can I install any macOS software?
Yes. You have full admin access to install App Store apps, Homebrew toolchains, Xcode, and any third-party macOS software. For system extensions or specific macOS versions, contact support for assistance.

Billing & Invoices

Rental Terms, Renewal & Payment

What rental terms are supported and what are the prices?
Four terms available, same price at all data center nodes:
TermPriceDaily equivalent
Daily$20.9$20.90 / day
Weekly$55.9$7.99 / day
MonthlyRecommended$103.9$3.46 / day
Quarterly$281.9$3.13 / day
How do I check order status and expiry date?
After logging in to the console, the sidebar lists all orders and their status (Running / Expired / Pending Payment). Click any order to see expiry date and days remaining. View full renewal and payment history in console transaction records.
Does my subscription auto-renew? How do I cancel?
Weekly/monthly/quarterly subscriptions auto-renew by default. You'll receive a reminder email before expiry. Turn off auto-renewal anytime on the order details page — service stops at the end of the current billing period, not immediately. Daily rentals are one-time payments with no auto-renewal.
What payment methods are supported?
We accept USDT-TRC20 and Stripe credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express), all settled in USD. Card payments are encrypted by Stripe — ZilCloud never stores your card number. USDT payments redirect to an on-chain payment page.
Can I upgrade config or change billing cycle?
Yes. Add SSD upgrades or Thunderbolt 5 cluster service anytime on the order details page. To change billing cycle, wait for the current term to end and place a new order on the Configure & Order page. Contact support for data migration assistance.

Account Management

Registration, Login & Password

How do I register a ZilCloud account?
Visit the Login / Sign Up page, enter your email, and the system detects new vs. existing users. New users complete registration with an email verification code and password — about 1 minute, no manual review.
What if I forgot my password?
On the login page, enter your email, then click "Forgot password?". A verification code is sent to your email. Enter the code and set a new password to reset.
How do I change my password while logged in?
Click your user menu in the top-right nav bar and select "Change Password". Enter your current and new password — no need to log out.
Can one account manage multiple devices?
Yes. One account can order and manage multiple Mac mini devices. The console sidebar lists all orders for centralized status, renewal, and ticket management.

Technical Support & Security

Contact, Data Security & Troubleshooting

How do I contact technical support?
Submit a ticket via the ticket system — log in, click "Technical Support", and describe your issue. We respond within 1 hour. Or email [email protected] with your account email and order number. All tickets handled by real engineers, not AI auto-replies.
Device unresponsive or can't connect — how do I troubleshoot?
Follow this order: ① Click Restart in the console, wait 2–3 minutes, retry; ② If still failing, Shut Down, wait 30 seconds, then Power On; ③ Check your local network can reach the internet; ④ If none work, submit a ticket with your order number — we'll prioritize it.
How is data and privacy protected?
Dedicated physical hardware — data never passes through multi-tenant shared storage. OpenClaw sandbox provides operation-level isolation and full audit logs for isolated tasks. All access uses zero-trust authentication. On lease end, military-grade data erasure meets industry compliance. See our Privacy Policy.
What service availability guarantees are provided?
ZilCloud commits to 99.9% service availability (SLA). All data center nodes are Tier 3+ facilities with redundant power and network. For outages, submit a ticket for SLA claim processing.
